The ZoneGolfers Club

(now forming)

We are starting to form a new golf-related club (or group) at Sun City Palm Desert to learn how to think your way to better golf scores- cut your handicap by up to 50% without additional time on the range or in the gym.

All residents of SCPD with established handicaps are eligible to join the ZoneGolfers Club.  There is a nominal fee of $10 per 1-1.5 hour session. Satisfaction or your money back.  Each session will be lead by our resident Mental Game and Zone Expert.

Step 1: Read through the ZoneGolfers.com website to see the details about the club.  Read through all of the tabs or pages at the top.  Start with  the DETAILS page then SHOULD I JOIN?  and then the other tabs.

Step 2:  If you are interested in joining this club, then please contact us at Info@ZoneGolfers.com and provide contact info plus your handicap index so that we will provide you with information as the club is being formed.  Note: We hate spam as much as you, your personal/contact  info is safe with us.

Will this Club be Beneficial to Me?

–  Do you want to improve your golf scores without additional practice or time in the gym?
–  Are you not playing to your potential?
–  Are you not having a lot of fun and enjoyment from your golf and/or practice?
–  Are you depressed after shooting a ‘million’?
–  Do you throw a club or feel like you are close?
–  Does your inner critic or other critics get to you and affect your          performance?
–  Are you easily distracted by bad breaks, a particular playing partner, the weather, a bad shot, even a good shot, expectations, etc.?

If you answer yes to any of the above questions, the ZoneGolfers Club will help you to improve your golf performance and your disposition.

In addition, the following topics and considerations will be discussed:

The Mental Game Toolkit

The Zone Golfers  Mental Game Toolkit provides the tools to think your way to better scores.  It is a primer for the mental game. The mental game for the golfer is the learning, applying, and retaining sports psychology concepts as applied to the preparation and playing golf.

This toolkit will not require additional driving range time nor does it require the strength, balance, and coordination of a person like Tiger.

The following are some additional topics that you can learn when you join the ZoneGolfers Club:

  • Decrease the number of putts without changing your stroke
  • An understanding and application of mental imagery or visualization just like Brad Faxon, Fred Couples, and others use.
  • Awareness and mindfulness in practice and play.
  • How to generate an internal ‘climate’ to facilitate getting into the zone and staying there.
  • Manage distractions on and off the course.
  • Disarm the negative self-talk or inner critic and replace it with positive self-talk.
  • Refine a pre-shot routine to provide mental clarity and trust.
  • A proper post-shot routine.
  • Relaxation techniques and stress management for use on and off the course.
  • How to control your thoughts and become a positive, optimistic person.
  • How to eliminate the ‘Win or Worthless’ mindset.
  • Explanation and cure for why your practice swing looks/feels perfect, and the real swing does not.
  • How to never choke again.
  • How to focus on the process instead of outcome.
  • Relieve yourself from 1st tee jitters.
  • What to do when ‘it hits the fan’.
  • How to use simple methods to change a habit.
  • A perspective that allows you to make every putt.
  • The top 10 course management thoughts to save strokes.

The ZoneGolfers Club will consist of near-weekly meetings to learn different concepts of the golf mental game and The Zone in order to improve your golf performance and have more fun doing it.

Each meeting (1-1.5 hours) will educate the members on concepts to improve their golf game. These meetings will be interactive as questions will be encouraged.

The meetings will be run by resident Mental Game expert Lee Woodard, who for the last 20 years has been a Golf Mental Game and Zone master instructor.

Lee has worked with hundreds of golfers including some Tour players to think their way to better scores. Zen Golf Intl., which is the golf mental game company Lee co-founded in the early 2000s, had a client list of Vijay Singh, David Toms, Hunter Mahan, Christy Kerr, and other Pros.

Members receive free access to the ZoneGolfers’ hotline for answers to any golf-related question as well as free access to Mental Game notes on the ZoneGolfers.com website.
